The release date of Feisty Fawn is rapidly approaching. And it looks like it’s going to be a great release. I installed and played around with Herd 5 in a virtual machine and was very impressed with some of the new features, like the automatic codec install when you open certain multimedia files the first time.
Softpedia has a look at he new feature. Windows users can now easily migrate their Firefox bookmarks, wallpapers, IE favourites, chat contacts from the existing Windows partition. There’s a Restricted Drivers Manager to easily install ATI and Nvidia drivers, improved network tools for cabled and wireless, 3D desktop effects. And the artwork got a makeover as well.
